A double-decker passenger bus has crashed in Thailand.

At least 28 people have been injured in the accident.

The bus was traveling from Surat Thani to Bangkok.

The accident happened around 4 AM local time in Phetchaburi province.

The bus hit a barrier and overturned.

Five people suffered serious injuries, 23 had minor injuries.

The injured were taken to hospitals.

No foreign tourists were reported among the injured.
