The U.S. administration has requested an additional $87.6 billion in funding from Congress, which includes potential war costs with Iran.
According to Oxu.Az, citing CNBC, White House Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought sent the request to House Speaker Mike Johnson.
The document states that $21 billion is needed for the Pentagon to purchase ammunition and strengthen the U.S. industrial base. Another $1.4 billion is allocated for combating the Ebola virus, and $768 million for nuclear and energy security.
Additionally, $10 billion is requested for U.S. farmers, $500 million for recovery and construction projects in Washington, and $1 billion for the reconstruction of a railway station in New York.
