Elchin Sadigov, a resident of Shamakhi district, was detained at a stationary post of the Main State Traffic Police Department (MSTPD) in Gobustan while driving a Mercedes Vito, as his driving license was restricted and he had numerous unpaid fines.
According to MSTPD, Sadigov tried to create artificial tension to avoid responsibility and left the post without obeying the lawful demands of traffic police officers. However, he was subsequently detained.
Administrative materials were submitted to court, and by court decision, he was sentenced to 20 days of administrative arrest.
The MSTPD reminds that compliance with lawful police demands is the duty of every citizen. Failure to comply leads to legal liability.
