A Russian tanker, reportedly part of the 'shadow fleet,' has been seized off the coast of Sicily.

Oxu.Az reports that French President Emmanuel Macron announced the news on his 'X' account.

'On Tuesday, our Navy seized the Deliver tanker passing near Sicily, violating maritime law,' Macron stated.

'We will not allow the shadow fleet to evade sanctions and finance Russia's war efforts. Europe is resolute in its decision,' the post added.
