Database for Insurance of Karabakh Projects Being Created

A database is being created for insurance of projects in Azerbaijan's liberated territories of Karabakh. Ahmet Yaşar, Chairman of the Turkish Insurance Association, made the announcement.

Database for Insurance of Karabakh Projects Being Created

Work has begun on creating a database for insurance of projects implemented in Azerbaijan's liberated territories.

According to Oxu.Az, this was stated by the Chairman of the Turkish Insurance Association, Ahmet Yaşar, in an interview with journalists at the 11th Azerbaijan International Insurance Forum (AIIF 2026) held in Baku.

He noted that insurance services are widely used for projects in the liberated territories, but an accurate statistical database on this area has not yet been formed.

Yaşar added that the risk volume and required insurance capacity of the implemented projects are not fully covered by the capabilities of either Azerbaijan's or Turkey's insurance markets, so international reinsurance markets are also utilized.

The Chairman of the Turkish Insurance Association emphasized the importance of establishing a reporting system and forming a unified database within the framework of the Turkic World Insurance Association.
