Oncologist Vladimir Ivashkov has urged people to give up three morning habits that seriously harm health.

The doctor warned about this on his Telegram channel.

1. Drinking coffee on an empty stomach

Ivashkov advises against drinking coffee on an empty stomach in the morning. This drink increases cortisol levels in the blood. Since cortisol is already high in the morning, coffee consumption can cause additional anxiety and irritability.

2. Taking medication on an empty stomach

The doctor specifically warns against taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen and Aspirin on an empty stomach. This habit significantly increases the risk of developing stomach ulcers.

3. Intense morning exercise

According to Ivashkov, engaging in excessively heavy exercise in the morning is harmful: 'Studies show that performance decreases by 10-20% during workouts on an empty stomach, and recovery is weakened. While light walking is beneficial, heavy loads are not recommended. It is necessary to consume a light meal containing protein and carbohydrates 1-1.5 hours before exercise.'
