Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the Islamic Republic has defeated the United States on the battlefield.
According to Oxu.Az, Iran's state broadcasting company reported this information citing the minister's statements.
He noted that because Tehran has military superiority, now is the ideal time to end the war.
"Washington faced the determination and heroic resistance of our people and armed forces. The best moment to end the conflict is when we have the upper hand; we have truly won on the battlefield," the minister said.
He added that diplomatic activities are closely linked to military achievements. Therefore, Tehran hopes to secure more favorable terms in a peace deal with the Americans.
It should be noted that earlier, Abbas Araghchi emphasized that Iran and the US are closer to signing a memorandum to end the conflict.
