Cherries significantly improve the functioning of various systems in the human body.

Oxu.Az reports that Russian nutritionist-endocrinologist Daria Khaikina told lenta.ru about this.

The expert highlighted the overlooked properties of this tasty berry:

Rich in anthocyanins: One of the main benefits of cherries is their abundance of natural compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties - anthocyanins. These substances give the berry its bright color. Regular consumption of cherries helps reduce the severity of inflammatory processes and is especially beneficial for people who experience joint discomfort.

Cardiovascular support: Cherries have a positive effect on the cardiovascular system. This is due to the high content of potassium, a mineral essential for maintaining normal blood pressure and ensuring healthy heart muscle function.

Removal of excess fluid: Cherries support the natural removal of excess fluid from the body, which eases the load on the heart and blood vessels. Moreover, this process occurs very gently and does not result in the loss of other important micronutrients.

Immune strengthening: The berry is equally valuable for the immune system. It contains substances such as vitamin C, zinc, and beta-carotene, which are involved in immune function and help the body recover faster from illness, emotional stress, and heavy physical fatigue.
