A theft of $5,000 from a restaurant cloakroom was reported in Baku's Narimanov district.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the victim told police that the cash was stolen from the pocket of his jacket.
During an operation, police detained a previously convicted suspect, 35-year-old I. Suleymanov.
Investigation revealed that he took the money from the jacket pocket hanging in the restaurant's cloakroom.
An investigation is ongoing.
