A significant project is underway to improve electricity supply in Gabala. An existing substation will be completely reconstructed to become more powerful and modern.

According to a tender announced by 'Azerenergy' OJSC, the 220/10/10 kV Gabala substation will be upgraded to 220/110/10 kV. This transformation will increase its capacity and adapt it to higher voltage levels.

The allocated budget for the project stands at 22 million 771 thousand 995 manats (approximately $13.4 million). The funds will cover all stages of reconstruction.

The upgraded substation will strengthen the region's energy security and ensure more reliable electricity supply for industrial facilities.
