As temperatures rise, May 2025 is set to bring warm weather across Azerbaijan. According to the National Hydrometeorology Service, the monthly average temperature will be close to the climatic norm, with some regions experiencing slightly higher values. In areas like Nakhchivan, Ganja, and Tovuz, thermometers could hit 35°C.

The weather will be changeable: alternating warm and cold fronts will cause temperature fluctuations. Brief showers are expected in mountainous areas at the start of the month, but rainfall will intensify from the second half of the first decade.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the average temperature will be 18-20°C. Daytime highs will range from 20-25°C, occasionally reaching 27-32°C. Nights will be between 12-17°C. Rainfall is expected to be near normal (18-21 mm).

In the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, it will be warmer: average 18-22°C, with daytime peaks of 20-25°C and occasional 30-35°C. Precipitation will be 33-62 mm.

Mountainous regions like Kalbajar and Lachin will see averages of 14-18°C. Nights will be cool (7-12°C), while daytime temperatures will range from 15-20°C, sometimes hitting 25-30°C. Rainfall will vary between 52-122 mm.

In Gazakh, Tovuz, and Ganja, the average will be 18-21°C. During the second and third decades, highs may reach 30-35°C. Rainfall will be near normal (43-67 mm).

Northern areas such as Balakan, Quba, and Khachmaz will have averages of 16-19°C, daytime 20-25°C, occasionally 28-33°C. In higher mountains, nights will be 3-8°C, days 15-20°C. Rainfall will range from 26-166 mm, with some locations above normal.

Central Aran regions (Yevlakh, Goychay, Kurdamir) will average 19-22°C, with daytime 22-27°C and peaks of 33-38°C after the first decade. Precipitation will be 26-62 mm.

Southern regions (Lankaran, Masalli, Astara) will see averages of 17-20°C, daytime 21-26°C, occasionally 29-34°C. Rainfall will be 26-62 mm.
