A new customs checkpoint is being built on the Azerbaijan-Iran border. Shahin Baghirov, head of the State Customs Committee, announced at a parliamentary committee meeting that the “Aghband” crossing point will soon be operational.
The infrastructure of several border checkpoints in Azerbaijan has been modernized recently. The new facility will also accommodate pedestrians. Construction is moving rapidly and is expected to be completed shortly.
This project will boost bilateral trade and tourism, strengthening cross-border cooperation.
