Enterprises in the Alat Free Economic Zone (FEA) will be exempt from customs duties for 15 years if they export at least 50% of their products.

According to Oxu.Az, this provision is reflected in the proposed amendments to the Law "On Customs Tariff."

The bill stipulates that goods fully produced or sufficiently processed in the Alat FEA, meeting the criteria for Azerbaijani origin, must have at least 50% of their volume exported outside the country. Under this condition, customs duties will be waived for 15 years from the date of establishment of the legal entity.

If approved, the benefits will take effect from January 1, 2027.
