At least 4 new power plants to be launched by 2026

Azerbaijan to launch 4 new power plants by 2026: 245 MW solar, 2x25 MW and 230 MW wind.

Azerbaijan plans to commission at least four new power plants by the end of 2026.

This was announced by Rana Humbatova, deputy director of the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources, at the 31st International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition held during Baku Energy Week.

One of the plants is a 245 MW solar power plant expected to be fully operational by the end of this year. Two other projects are located in the East Zangazur green energy zone, each with a capacity of 25 MW.

Additionally, a 230 MW wind power plant is also planned.
