BP's regional president for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, Kio Kristofoli, stated at the 31st Baku Energy Forum that Azerbaijan can become a world-class energy hub for many years.
He noted that the region has rich hydrocarbon reserves. The Caspian basin is one of the world's largest oil and gas regions.
Kristofoli emphasized that world-class energy infrastructure has been built here. The Sangachal terminal and pipeline network boast a reliability rate of 99%, among the highest in the industry.
He added that Azerbaijan has a favorable business environment. Highly skilled human capital supports both local and global projects.
"For these four reasons, Azerbaijan can be a world-class energy hub for years," Kristofoli concluded.
