Azerbaijan and Turkey signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Technical Cooperation in Building Energy Efficiency during the 13th session of the World Urban Forum in Baku. Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Turkish Environment Minister Murat Kurum formalized the agreement.

COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev also attended the meeting. Both sides expressed satisfaction with expanding cooperation in energy efficiency.

The memorandum covers legislation, calculation methodologies, energy certification, training programs, and renewable energy. A joint working group will be established.
