Baku Metro: New stations to get 7-car trains

Baku Metro's new purple line stations will be designed for 7-car trains, with longer platforms. Ten new stations to open by 2030.

The new stations on Baku Metro's "purple line" will accommodate seven-car trains, according to Bakhtiyar Mammadov, head of the press service of Baku Metro CJSC.

The platforms of the new stations will be longer than those on the "red" and "green" lines. Currently, red line platforms are 102-105 meters, while purple line platforms will be 144 meters.

By 2030, ten new stations on the "green" and "purple" lines are planned to open.
