The Chairman of the Court of Accounts, Vugar Gulmammadov, spoke at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship.
He proposed optimizing the system for registering foreign trade transactions.
Gulmammadov emphasized the need to revise budget revenue collection forecasts and reduce the fiscal burden on imports.
He noted that in 2025, there were shortfalls in VAT and import customs duties collected by customs authorities.
The chairman also called for improved accountability of organizations collecting parafiscal charges.
