Activities on cybersecurity in information infrastructures performing publicly significant functions will be ensured through the relevant structure of the state body or through CERTs (Computer Incident Response Centers) that are resident legal entities under contract.
According to Oxu.Az, this issue is reflected in the draft amendments to the Law "On Information, Informatization and Information Protection" discussed at today's meeting of the Human Rights Committee of the Milli Majlis.
The draft notes that real-time continuous monitoring of cyber threats, cyber attacks and cyber incidents targeting publicly significant information infrastructure objects, as well as initial technical response measures, will be carried out by SOCs (Security Operations Centers).
Cybersecurity activities in the information infrastructures of entities supervised in financial markets will be ensured by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA). The creation, regulation, monitoring and control of SOCs by entities supervised in financial markets will be carried out by the CBA.
