Azerbaijan's defense spending saw a significant increase in 2025. The state budget allocated 8.068 billion manats for defense and security, up 22.9% from 2024.
This spending accounted for 6.2% of GDP and 20.9% of total state budget expenditures. An additional 2.856 billion manats were directed from reserve funds to special defense projects.
Under a presidential decree, the Ministry of Defense purchased apartments worth 34.7 million manats. Law enforcement spending also rose by 3.9% to 2.9203 billion manats.
