Chingiz Orujov: "Drones can both detect leaks and determine the volume of methane gas."
Chingiz Orujov, Senior Business Development Specialist for Renewable Energy at TotalEnergies, said this during a panel discussion at the 31st International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition. He noted that using drones to detect leaks is an effective solution for reducing emissions.
He stated that drones not only detect leaks but also measure the volume of methane gas: "This allows us to take action based on the leak volume. Some leaks are easy to fix, but difficult for a human to detect. Drones make detection convenient and efficient. This practice is also effective for Azerbaijan."
