A drone attack ignited a fire at a major Russian oil export terminal in the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk early Saturday, regional officials confirmed, leaving at least one person injured.
The Krasnodar region's headquarters reported that Russian air defense systems intercepted multiple drones, but falling debris set fire to technical buildings and an onshore oil storage facility.
Emergency services deployed firefighters to contain the blaze. The port is a key hub for seaborne oil exports. Authorities are assessing operational impact, and several tankers are anchored outside awaiting clearance.
