Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov announced at the Baku Energy Forum that a 1,000 MW electrical connection project between East Zangezur and Nakhchivan is under discussion.

The minister noted that current transmission lines have a capacity of 500 MW. The new project will have a capacity of 1,000 MW.

Additionally, construction of a 200 MW solar power plant is being considered, indicating expansion of cooperation in renewable energy.
