Gold futures for June 2026 delivery fell below $4,500 per troy ounce for the first time on the Comex platform of the New York Mercantile Exchange.

At 05:02 Baku time, gold was down 1.43% at $4,496.7. Silver also declined, falling 3.66% to $74.7 per troy ounce.

The declines moderated later, with gold at $4,536 and silver at $75.41.
