Around 150 million young people in Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) member countries are excluded from economic development processes.
Idrissa Dia, Regional Manager for North Africa and Central Asia, said this at an event within the IsDB Group 2026 Annual Meeting in Baku.
According to him, one in five young people globally is not in education, employment, or training.
Dia noted that today's youth are the most educated, digitally connected, and entrepreneurial generation. The main issue is barriers preventing them from realizing their potential.
