On June 1, within the framework of the Baku Energy Week, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Ashat Khasenov, Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhstan's KazMunayGas company.

During the meeting, it was noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in the energy sector are developing successfully, and satisfaction was expressed with the established cooperation between SOCAR and KazMunayGas.
It was stated during the conversation that the project for transporting Kazakh oil via Azerbaijan is being successfully continued, and the work done in this direction was reviewed. The parties exchanged views on joint investment opportunities in third countries and other issues of mutual interest.
