Kazakhstan is ready to consider all additional routes for oil export, but there is no alternative to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC).
According to Oxu.Az citing Interfax, this was stated by Kazakhstan's Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenov.
"Your colleagues (journalists - ed.) misinterpret information that Kazakhstan is considering alternative routes. Again, the correct definition would be additional routes," the Kazakh minister told media representatives.
According to Yerlan Akkenov, the CPC can transport 82 million tons of oil, and currently there is no alternative to this pipeline.
