Peru's left-wing presidential candidate Roberto Sanchez has appointed a former economy minister from ex-President Pedro Castillo's administration to lead his economic plan team.
Pedro Francke, considered a moderate economist, will focus on reviewing resource contracts, raising the minimum wage by 33%, and redrafting the constitution.
Sanchez secured his spot in the June 7 runoff after a month-long count. His platform has unsettled investors in the major copper producer.
