Large-scale work has been carried out by the Azerbaijani state to integrate the 240 MW "Shafag" Solar Power Plant built by bp in Jabrayil into the energy system.

According to Baku TV, Mirjalal Huseynov, director of Karabakh Regional Electric Network of Azerenergy OJSC, told journalists that a 330 kV digital substation was built in Jabrayil and a 7.5 km double-circuit high-voltage transmission line was laid to connect it to the country's energy network.

The main goal of the project is to strengthen public-private partnership, reduce carbon emissions, save natural gas, increase the share of green energy, and enhance energy security.
