Amendments have been made to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Customs Officials.
According to the new decision, if material benefits or gifts are given to a customs officer for reasons beyond their control, they must report it to the anti-corruption unit and hand over the gift via an official act.
Additionally, if the officer is unsure whether to accept a gift or simple hospitality, they must seek the opinion of the anti-corruption unit. Previously, they reported directly to their supervisor.
A similar decision was previously signed by the head of the State Migration Service.
