A new state program for agricultural development has been approved in Azerbaijan. It aims to boost productivity and added value in the agrarian sector.
Presidential aide Zeynal Naghdaliyev stated that the program's fundamental goal is not only to increase production indicators but also to focus on higher quality output per hectare. He spoke at a meeting in the Absheron-Khizi and Guba-Khachmaz economic regions.
Naghdaliyev noted that the program ensures sustainable development, strengthens food security, increases productivity and export orientation, develops value chains, and advances the fisheries and aquaculture sector.
"The program will accelerate the transition from extensive approaches to an intensive development model," he emphasized.
