Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said the non-oil sector now accounts for 71.5% of Azerbaijan's economy.
In an interview with AZERTAC, he noted: "Looking at the GDP structure, over 71% of our economy is the non-oil sector, so the oil and gas sector is less than 30%."
Jabbarov highlighted that policies over the past 20 years have led to positive structural changes. Two decades ago, the non-oil share was below 45%.
