Finance Minister Sahil Babayev stated in an interview with AZERTAC and AzTV that reducing oil dependency to a minimum by 2030 is a key goal.
He noted: "In 2024, oil's share in the state budget was 48%; in 2025 it will drop to 42-43%, and by 2030 we plan it to be just 30%."
Babayev emphasized that main priorities include defense, the Great Return Program, social welfare, and state investments. These will remain protected in future budgets.
