Pension spending in Azerbaijan rises 10%

Azerbaijan's pension spending increased by 10% to 2.6 billion manats. Details on pension increase and indexation.

In January-April of this year, pension payments increased by 10% (248 million manats) compared to the same period last year, reaching 2 billion 608 million manats.

According to Oxu.Az, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population (MLSPP) released the information.

It was noted that since the beginning of this year, pensions have been indexed by 9.3%, and as of May 1, 2026, the average monthly pension increased by 10% compared to the same period last year, reaching 594 manats, while the average old-age pension reached 632 manats.

It was also reported that in January-April, 15,000 pensions were assigned proactively, and since the start of electronic pension assignment in 2019, a total of 193,000 pensions have been assigned.
