Despite rising inflation, population incomes grew faster in early 2026. Annual inflation stood at 5.6% in January-April, while nominal incomes rose 8.8% to 28.7 billion manats.
Food prices increased by 6.5-6.8%, yet real incomes climbed 3.2%, indicating improved purchasing power.
Average monthly wages rose 6.2% to 1,151.5 manats. However, higher food inflation eroded real incomes for low-income groups.
