In Azerbaijan, the price of sacrificial sheep has increased. The cheapest sacrificial animal in Baku markets starts from 300 manats.
Last year's minimum price of 250-280 manats has risen to 300-340 manats this year. Live weight prices range from 9.50 to 11 manats per kilogram.
Prices are lower in the regions. Male lambs from private farms can be bought for 250-270 manats. However, prices have also increased in the regions compared to last year.
Sellers report that purchasing power and demand have decreased amid the price hike.
