MP Vugar Bayramov commented on legislative amendments regarding the minimum wage increase.

According to the new rules, the minimum wage will be reviewed at least once a year. This means increases will be regulated by law and periodic.

The change will affect not only low-wage workers but all levels of the unified tariff schedule. Salaries of employees in state-funded sectors will be adjusted within one month after the minimum wage increase.

Currently, the lowest salary is 400 manats, and the highest is 1150 manats. Raising the minimum wage could lead to salary increases for 700,000 citizens.

The amendment was approved on February 23, 2026. Within one year, the minimum wage will be increased at least once.
