On June 1, within the framework of the Baku Energy Week, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan's Uzbekneftegaz, Abdugani Sanginov.
Oxu.Az reports that SOCAR released information about the meeting. The parties expressed satisfaction with the development of relations in the energy sector between the two countries, in line with the policies set by the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
During the conversation, the importance of the Baku Energy Week as a key platform for discussing energy issues in the region was emphasized. Attention was also drawn to the meetings held within the 28th International Exhibition and Conference "Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan" last month, as well as the significance of bp joining the Production Sharing Agreement for exploration, development, and production of the "Ustyurt" investment blocks.
The work to be done under the project and future cooperation prospects were reviewed, and an exchange of views took place on other issues of mutual interest.
