Between 2022 and 2025, SOCAR supplied approximately 2.5 million tons of Azerbaijani crude oil to Indonesia.

This was announced by Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov at the 1st Meeting of D-8 Member States' Energy Ministers held within the 31st Baku Energy Forum.

The minister also stated that relations with Bangladesh have great potential in energy infrastructure and connectivity: "The established ties create an important foundation for the development of long-term, technology-based partnerships in Bangladesh's energy sector."

Shahbazov noted that the Baku Declaration on Energy Cooperation serves as a key document defining future directions of cooperation, strengthening collaboration in energy security, energy connectivity, hydrocarbon resource development, infrastructure building, climate action, and technological progress.
