Bond.az reports that United Auto Workers leaders are calling for stronger pay standards and manufacturing mandates ahead of US trade talks with Canada and Mexico.

UAW President Shawn Fain warned that without pro-worker demands, the US should exit the trade deal.

The union also calls for expanding Mexico's labor laws, raising wages, and increasing safety standards. A repeal could add $33 billion in tariff costs.
