The UN's new report shows that cities are central to climate planning. 80% of NDC 3.0 documents include urban measures, up from 49% previously.
Presented at the UN Urban Forum in Baku, the report highlights that including cities in climate plans is not enough. Strong data, clear indicators, and financial mechanisms are needed.
UN-Habitat continues to strengthen urban climate action with governments and partners. The goal is to link climate policy to the places where people live.
