Bond.az - The United States and Sweden announced a Technology Prosperity Deal on Friday to deepen collaboration across artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, biomedical research, energy, space, quantum computing, and defense innovation.
The memorandum builds on the 2006 Agreement on Science and Technology Cooperation. It aims to advance next-generation AI and network technologies, promote trusted technology stacks, and coordinate on international telecommunications standards.
The deal includes cooperation on civil nuclear energy, small modular reactors, and fusion technologies, as well as critical minerals technologies for energy systems.
A dialogue on defense technology cooperation and regulatory matters affecting technology transfer is established to support transatlantic defense industrial collaboration.
The memorandum becomes operative on the date of the last signature and can be discontinued with 180 days written notice.
