US stock futures edged higher Tuesday as traders assessed fresh strikes on Iran. The Dow rose 281 points, S&P 500 climbed 41 points, and Nasdaq jumped 220 points.
The US military sank two Iranian vessels laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz, prompting retaliation. Negotiations continue amid hopes for de-escalation.
Brent crude rose 2.4% to $98.39 a barrel. Gold slipped 0.8% to $4,533.55 an ounce.
Lenovo shares hit a record high after quarterly profit surged 479%.
