From January to April of this year, Azerbaijan's wind power plants generated 327.5 million kWh of electricity.
According to Oxu.Az citing the State Statistics Committee, this is 58.5 times more than in the same period of 2025.
During the reporting period, solar power plants produced 121.8 million kWh, down 6% from January-April 2025.
In the first four months of this year, the country generated 8 billion 527.6 million kWh of electricity, 3% less than in the same period of 2025. Of this, 8 billion 273.6 million kWh was commercial electricity, down 2.5% year-on-year.
Of the total, 920 million kWh came from hydroelectric plants (down 13.5%), 6 billion 816.9 million kWh from thermal power plants (-5.5%), and 87.4 million kWh from biomass and waste incineration (+17.7%).
