Woman Director Accused of $14,000 Fraud Extradited from Turkey

Sevinj Huseynova, an Azerbaijani woman director, extradited from Turkey over $14,000 fraud scheme involving fake job promises.

Azerbaijani citizen Sevinj Huseynova has been extradited from Turkey on charges of defrauding victims of 69,000 manats (approx. $14,000). She allegedly tricked people into paying her for job placements since 2018.

The Ministry of Justice confirmed that Huseynova was on Interpol's wanted list and was arrested in Antalya. The extradition process was completed smoothly thanks to bilateral cooperation.

The suspect is now in a pretrial detention facility. She faces charges under Articles 178.2.2, 178.2.3, 178.2.4, and 308.1 of the Criminal Code.

This case highlights the effectiveness of international legal cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
