A Moscow court has fully rejected a defamation lawsuit filed by Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Anti-Corruption and Security Project (FPBK), against singer Alla Pugacheva.
According to Oxu.Az, Pugacheva's lawyers informed Meduza.io about the decision.
The lawsuit stemmed from a September 2025 interview Pugacheva gave to journalist Katerina Gordeeva on YouTube. Borodin claimed an 8-second segment tarnished his honor and dignity. In the clip, Pugacheva says: "Borodin, get ready! 'Snitches' and traitors, be careful!"
Borodin sought a retraction, 5 million rubles (about $55,000) in compensation, and removal of the video.
Pugacheva's lawyer argued the claim was based on a "distorted written fixation of an oral remark." They stated the words "snitches and traitors" were not directly aimed at Borodin; only the phrase "Borodin, get ready" was directed at him, confirmed by linguistic experts.
In court, Borodin claimed he had never been publicly called a "snitch" or "traitor." In response, lawyers presented 80 pages of media material where he was referred to as such.
Borodin announced on his Telegram channel that he would appeal the decision.
