US pop star Ariana Grande has sharply criticized the Trump administration. She demanded that her music not be used to promote anti-immigration policy.
Reuters reports that the White House shared a video on TikTok this week depicting US immigration enforcement. The footage shows ICE agents handcuffing individuals. Grande's song "Bye" was used as background music.
Grande reacted strongly: "Please do not use my music for this hideous, inhumane nonsense ever again."
White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson responded: "The real hideous, inhumane actions are the crimes of illegal immigrants who harm and kill innocent Americans."
Sources close to Grande say her team is exploring options to remove the song from the video.
