Honored Artist Elza Seyidcahan has used insulting language towards her readers. She said that Azerbaijani audiences were not ready for her uniqueness, but she is glad she 'tamed' them.
Using an animal analogy, she stated: 'They say, after taming an animal, you can interact with it in the circus. But the animal may also tear you apart. When you tame it, it doesn't tear you apart.'
She also responded to critics of her poems: 'I managed to get inside wild readers. They understood me, became my fans, and staged my poems.'
Seyidcahan claimed that during the pandemic, her poems saved people from stress, depression, suicide, and illness. She added that people came to her home asking for her book.
