British theatre and film actor Patrick Godfrey has died at the age of 94.
According to the agency Markham Froggatt & Irwin, the actor passed away last night surrounded by his family. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
He is survived by his wife, actress Amanda Walker, a son, and a daughter.
Born in London in 1933, Godfrey appeared in several popular British film and television projects in the 1970s and 1980s. He was particularly known for his roles in "The Count of Monte Cristo" and "Les Misérables."
He gained worldwide fame after portraying Leonardo da Vinci in "Ever After: A Cinderella Story." He also had memorable roles in "Doctor Who," "Inspector Morse," and "Poirot."
