Amazon MGM Studios has officially announced the start of casting for the role of James Bond.
According to the studio's statement, specific details are not shared yet, but updates will be provided to 007 fans when the time is right.
Five years have passed since Daniel Craig's last Bond film, “No Time to Die”. Amazon acquired MGM in 2022, and in 2025, Eon Productions transferred creative control over the franchise to Amazon MGM Studios.
The creative team includes Denis Villeneuve as director and Steven Knight as screenwriter. Candidates for Agent 007 include Tom Holland, Harris Dickinson, and Jacob Elordi. Callum Turner claimed he was cast in January 2026, but the studio has not confirmed any official cast.
